I Cry            by Tupak Shakur [1971-1996]

Sometimes when I'm alone
I Cry,
Cause I am on my own.
The tears I cry are bitter and warm.
They flow with life but take no form
I Cry because my heart is torn.
I find it difficult to carry on.

If I had an ear to confiding,
I would cry among my treasured friend,
but who do you know that stops that long,
to help another carry on.

The world moves fast and it would rather pass by.
Then to stop and see what makes one cry,
so painful and sad.
And sometimes…
I Cry
and no one cares about why.

Life

by Charlotte Brontë

believe, is not a dream
 So dark as sages say;
Oft a little morning rain
 Foretells a pleasant day.
Sometimes there are clouds of gloom,
 But these are transient all;
If the shower will make the roses bloom,
O why lament its fall ?

 Rapidly, merrily,
 Life's sunny hours flit by,
   Gratefully, cheerily,
Enjoy them as they fly !

What though Death at times steps in
And calls our Best away ?
What though sorrow seems to win,
 O'er hope, a heavy sway ?
Yet hope again elastic springs,
 Unconquered, though she fell;
Still buoyant are her golden wings,
Still strong to bear us well.
   Manfully, fearlessly,
 The day of trial bear,
   For gloriously, victoriously,
 Can courage quell despair !

Stars    by Sara Teasdale [1884-1933]

Alone in the night
On a dark hill
With pines around me
Spicy and still,

And a heaven full of stars
Over my head
White and topaz
And misty red;

Myriads with beating
Hearts of fire
The aeons
Cannot vex or tire;

Up the dome of heaven
Like a great hill
I watch them marching
Stately and still.

And I know that I
Am honored to be
Witness
Of so much majesty.

Candy Man    by Roald Dahl [1916-1990]

Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew
Cover it in chocolate and a miracle or two
The candy man, the candy man can
The candy man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good
Who can take a rainbow, wrap it in a sigh
Soak it in the sun and make a strawberry–lemon pie
The candy man?
The candy man, the candy man can
The candy man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good

Willy Wonka makes everything he bakes
Satisfying and delicious
Talk about your childhood wishes
You can even eat the dishes

Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream
Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream
The candy man, Willy Wonka can, the candy man can
The candy man can 'cause he mixes it with love
And makes the world taste good

And the world tastes good'
Cause the candy man thinks it should

GROWING UP

Little Tommy Tadpole began to weep and wail
For Little Tommy Tadpole had lost his little tail

And his mother didn't know as he wept upon a log
For he wasn't Tommy Tadpole but Mr. Thomas Frog

The Road Not Taken

 By  Robert Lee Frost [1874-1963]

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Now You Can Come

Come
Now the storm is over
No more winds
No more thunder  showers

In that gloomy sky
No more sea gulls now
They flew far  away
Never to be  returned

Come
Now the storm is over
Dont have to be scared
Your poor boat may get lost

No more winds
No more thunder showers

      Who made you vanish

                                                      Butterflies
                                                      Butterflies
                                                      Where have you gone

                                                                        Bygone days
                                                                        I saw you always
But  not to be seen now

                                                       Children we were
                                                       So happy we were
                                                       so happy you too then
                                                                        Bunch of petals
                                                                       floating together
                                                                        as if for some mission

                                                    My eyes are in pain
                                                    searching for you
                                                    in this lonely air

         Is love blind?
I cant touch the sky
Because it is too high
But the rays from the stars
come all the way to my eyes

You are away and away from me
I am away and away from thee
now  we can see each other
as clear as ever

Untill the distance  between us
  never  fades  away
love is not blind
                                                                                    It makes  us see more

flower with no name

True that you are like a flower
But I am still  searching  for a name
One day you were here and
The next day you were gone
What should I call you
to a  flower like you

The beauty was there for a moment
The scent filled the wind around
The colour flashing in front of my eyes
memory is lingering still in my heart

Though I want to see you again
No way of calling you back
flower with no name
Is this a game?

 Eternal Problem
I can come flying
above the clouds so  high

I can come swimming
passing  seven seas so cold

I can drag my feet
over the scorching  sand hills

I can come near you right
But knowing your heart I doubt

sleep

Resting place  for a tired heart
soothing balm for a sprained mind
Not only I love you
I respect you too

child or an  adult
man or any woman
king or the poorest man
you treat them same

Taking me daily  onto your lap
nurses  slowly into another world
treating with fine dreams
how well you love me back

SAD

Its unbearable
So much cruelty everywhere
just unthinkable
how people become so unfair

Even a child is not spared
Tears freely flow
How many saints we need
to stop this show

world is  becoming too dark
despite suns rays
what a mission we seek
to erase this  dreadful ways

Baby born so pure
grows with heart of hate
who would bring a cure
how long we have to wait

Midnight

One day is fading away
giving birth to a next day
Cant forget the past
Like to go ahead
crushed in between
thoughts swaying to and fro

Rain drops are  falling
one by one on to the roof
Darkness so thick
makes me so  scared

All are asleep
Why  am I  awake
In this strange solitude
I may find myself
